Random Acts of Kindness Week

Did you know it's National Random Acts of Kindness week? Random Acts of Kindness promotes selfless acts performed by a person, or group, wishing to help cheer up another person by doing something kind for them. This is especially kind when nothing is expected back in return. As so many join in this week by promoting kindness, we decided to help by suggesting various random acts you can do to be kind.

Keep reading to learn about easy and fun Random Acts of Kindness you can do in our community.
  1. Smile at someone on the street, just because.
  2. Let someone into your lane. They’re probably in a rush just like you.
  3. Forgive someone, and never bring up the issue again.
  4. Talk to the shy person who’s sitting by themselves at a party.
  5. Cut someone some slack.
  6. Help a mother with her baby stroller.
  7. Let the person behind you at the supermarket checkout with one or two items go ahead of you.
  8. Leave your newspaper or magazine behind for someone else to read at the coffee shop, the doctor’s office, or on a plane.
  9. Tweet or Facebook message a genuine compliment to three people right now.
  10. Bring doughnuts (or a healthy treat, like cut-up fruit) to work.
  11. While you’re out, compliment a parent on how well-behaved their child is.
  12. Don’t write the angry internet comment you’re thinking of writing.
  13. If you walk by a car with an expired parking meter, put a quarter in it.
There are so many ways you can show kindness to the people living in the world. Let this week be the start of many weeks to act kind and cheer someone up.  Do you have any more ideas or stories how you've been helped by kindness? Leave a comment or post it on our facebook!
