  • 16 slices Thin Bacon
  • Cajun Spice
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 16 whole Small Dinner Rolls
  • 16 slices Cheese Of Your Choice (cheddar, Monterey Jack, Pepper Jack, American, Swiss)
  • Bottled Sauces Of Your Choice: BBQ, Louisiana Hot Sauce, Teriyaki, Etc.
  • Toppings Of Your Choice: Tomato Slices, Grilled Onions, Lettuce, Celery Leaves, Etc.
  • Spread Of Your Choice: Mayo, Mustards, Mayo Mixed With Chipotle Pepper, Etc.
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Slice bacon pieces in half and fry over medium-low heat until
  2. Place the palm of your hand flat on the top of each chicken breast. Apply light pressure as you slice it horizontally in half (be careful!) When you're finished, you'll have eight thinner chicken breast pieces. Slice each of these in half so you'll wind up with sixteen small chicken "patties." Place a piece of plastic wrap on top of the thicker pieces and pound gently with a rolling pin to flatten slightly.
  3. Brush both sides of the chicken pieces with a little bit of the bacon fat, then season with Cajun spice and salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Heat a grill pan if you have one, or a heavy skillet over medium to medium-high heat. Cook chicken pieces on the first side for a couple of minutes, then flip them over to the other side. Lay slices of cheese (whatever kind you'd like) on top of each piece, then top with a couple of bacon slices. Cook until chicken is done, then remove from the pan.
  5. Spread both sides of dinner rolls with the spread of your choice (mayo, mustard, etc.) and the toppings of your choice (tomato, lettuce, etc.) Place chicken pieces in between halved dinner rolls. Serve immediately!

New Recipe Alert | Kale Banana Smoothie

We know some kids can be fussy when it comes to eating healthy foods, especially when they're dealing with a new set of braces. Changing eating habits to better accommodate new braces, and health is not always easy as healthy food choices tend to look less appealing than a slice of pizza or hard shell tacos.  If you want to ensure your kids will intake some healthy fruits and vegetables, we suggest making smoothies for them! Smoothies are a wonderful way to make fruits and veggies appeal to kids, and they're healthy as well as braces friendly. Smoothies aren't just for kids either, they're wonderful for our adult patients or parents too!

Is Invisalign Right For You?

Having Invisalign puts a lot more of the treatment responsibility on you. At each of your appointments at Appletree Orthodontics, you will receive two to five sets of aligners, depending on the interval between your visits. Besides having to wear the aligners for the minimum 22 hours a day, you will have to schedule your aligner changes and constantly check that they are fitting well.

What does ‘checking the fit’ mean?

Each aligner is made with a new position for your teeth to move into. By correctly seating your aligner, you are essentially pushing your teeth into this new position. Over the course of ten to fourteen days, your teeth will start to become used to being in their new position. This is when it is time to change to a new aligner.

Checking the fit of your aligners to ensure your teeth are ‘tracking’ is essential during treatment.

Changing to new aligners before your teeth are in position can result in non-fitting aligners later on. Correcting this means a new set of impressions, and it may set back your treatment time while you wait for the new aligners to be made.

If you are unable to remove your aligners when you need to, or are unable to clean your teeth or closely monitor your teeth and aligner schedule, take heart. We offer a range of other treatments that may be better suited to you and your lifestyle.
